🔼 Happy To Be Home. The Butler women’s basketball squad returned home for the second time in 2026 and boy, did they enjoy being home.
Three ‘Dawgs in double-figures and eight 3-pointers led Butler to a hard-fought 62-52 victory over Providence on Wednesday night.
Saniya Jackson and Anna Wypych led the way for BU with 13 points apiece in the contest. Mallory Miller was the third Bulldog in double-digits with 10 points.
Defensively, Butler limited Providence to just 17.4-percent from long range and forced the Friars into 14 turnovers on the night.
🔼 Save The Date(s). We may still be eight months from football season, but let’s start blocking those calendars off now!
In conjunction with the Pioneer Football League, Butler football has announced its 2026 conference schedule. Butler will host four league games at the Bud & Jackie Sellick Bowl and will play four conference road games.
The 2026 season marks the 34th year for the Pioneer Football League. Each league member plays an eight-game schedule to determine the league champion and recipient of the PFL's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Football Championship.
🔼 Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Former Butler standout Jyran Mitchell will have a new address next season.
This week, Mitchell signed to join the Toronto Argonauts for the upcoming CFL season.
Last year, he had 11 carries for 118 yards and one TD in two preseason games and spent much of last year on the practice squad for the Argonauts.
During his time at Butler in 2023, Mitchell racked up 1,268 yards and 12 TDs on the ground, while also hauling in 23 passes for 202 yards and three receiving TDs. The Chicago native was named first Team All-Pioneer League that season and was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award.
🔼 Joining The Party. We are just three weeks away from the start of the 2026 Butler lacrosse season and the Bulldogs have a pair of new faces joining the party.
This week, Butler announced the addition of two midyear transfers with Addison Haines (midfield) and Isabella Rockwell (defense) both joining the roster for the upcoming 2026 season.
