🔼 We Talkin’ Bout Practice. We are just over a month away from the returner of Butler hoops and now, we’ve got a chance to get a sneak peek at our ‘Dawgs.
As part of Butler University's Family Weekend, the Butler hoops programs are hosting an open practice on Saturday, October 11th. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a scheduled conclusion at approximately 12:15 p.m. Both teams will be on display, featuring blue-white scrimmages as a portion of each practice. Fans will also have the opportunity to interact with student-athletes from both teams after the open practice for autographs and photos.
The event is free and open to the public but fans are encouraged to download a ticket to the open practice through the Butler Sports App. Those fans will be eligible for drawings throughout the event for Butler prizes such as tickets and apparel.

🔼 Title No. 2. For the second time in three outings, the Butler men’s golf team climbed to the top of the leaderboard, earning its second team title of the fall season.
Logan Sutto tied a Butler program record with an eight-under 64 in Tuesday's final round of the 2025 Virtues Intercollegiate. His final round vaulted him into second place individually and helped the Bulldogs capture the top spot on the team leaderboard.
Sutto's 64 matched the program record for a par-72 course previously held exclusively by Damon Dickey. On March 10, 2023, Dickey shot a 64 at the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational on the 6,959-yard LPGA International Jones Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.
🔼 Three’s Company. What a start to conference play for the Butler women’s soccer squad.
Butler defender Lucia Englund, along with forward Alyssa Carlson, represented Butler with two of the conference's four major weekly awards after their performances vs. DePaul and Providence.
Englund was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, and Carlson was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. In addition, midfielder Léa Larouche was recognized on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
The Bulldogs, who were unbeaten in six matches in September, are on the road for two tough matches this week. The Bulldogs face No. 21 Georgetown tonight and then travel to No. 24 Xavier on Saturday.

🔼 Home Cookin’. The Butler women’s golf squad battled to a third place finish as they wrapped up hosting their Fall Invitational at their home Highland Country Club course.
The 54-event over the last two days marked the only home event on the 2025-26 schedule for the Bulldogs.
Freshman Addi Kooi and junior Ashley Freitas led the Butler effort, tying for seventh at nine-over 219. Kooi shot a three-over 73 to post the best Tuesday score among the Bulldogs. Freitas, playing as an individual, relied on a pair of one-over 71 rounds Monday on the 6,040-yard Highland course.
🤔 BUTLER TRIVIA

On Sunday, former Bulldog standout Ryan Pepiot and his Tampa Bay Rays teammates wrapped up their 2025 MLB season. Pepiot finished with career-bests in wins (11), strikeouts (167) innings pitched (167.2) and appearances (31).
The 2025 season was Pepiot’s fourth in the big leagues.
