🏀 SNEAK PEEK

With the official return of Butler hoops just a few weeks away, the ‘Dawgs gave fans a sneak peek into this year’s squad with the open practice event this past Saturday.

Both teams were on full display, featuring blue-white scrimmages as a portion of each practice. Fans had the opportunity to interact with student-athletes from both teams after the open practice for autographs and photos.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Cardiac Kids. It was Family Weekend on campus and the Butler men’s soccer team left their family and friends quite happy this past weekend.

The ‘Dawgs trailed Marquette early but fought back to come away with its third consecutive victory, a 2-1 conference win.

The visiting Golden Eagles scored in the 11th minute, but the Butler responded with one goal prior to the break, and another with 12 minutes in the match, picking up their second conference win this season.

🔼 Back At Home. In their first matches back at Hinkle Fieldhouse in over a month, the Butler volleyball team earned a BIG EAST split, including a straight set win over Providence for their first conference victory of the season.

Alaleh Tolliver led the way yet again, racking up 23 kills in the two matches, including 15 in the win over the Friars on Friday night.

🔼 Pleading The Fifth. Nine Top 10 finishes at the Dan Ross Indiana Intercollegiate propelled the Butler women's swimming team to a fifth place finish in the event.

Multiple swimmers secured BIG EAST qualifying times in the event as BU posted 165 points as a team. 

🔼 Running Reagan. It was a career day for Reagan Andrew, but the Butler football team dropped a heartbreaker to the 23rd-ranked Blue Hose of Presbyterian, 31-25 on Saturday afternoon at the Sellick Bowl.

Andrew accumulated 310 yards of total offense in the game and posted a career-high 115 rushing yards on 31 carries.

Freshman Aiden Benitez scored his fourth goal of the season to secure the come-from-behind win over Marquette this past weekend for the Butler men’s soccer team.
