🎥 The Highlights

🔼 Finn’s Friday Spectacular. Behind Finn Moran’s first-ever career brace, the Butler men’s soccer team secured a 2-1 home victory over Butler for its first BIG EAST win of the season and first career victory for Ian Sarachan as the ‘Dawgs head coach.
Butler never trailed in the contest with Moran finding the back of the net in the fifth and 32nd minute to stake the ‘Dawgs to a 2-0 halftime lead that they wouldn’t relinquish.
🔼 Two Weeks Away. The Maria Marchesano era is officially two weeks away as the Butler women’s hoops squad continues its preparation for the upcoming 2026-27 season over the weekend.
Fans can get their first look at this year’s squad on Saturday, October 24 when the ‘Dawgs square off with Ball State in an open scrimmage at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Tipoff is set for 12 p.m.
🔼 Makin’ Move. The Butler women made a strong move over the back half of the NCAA Pre-National Invitational Friday morning, climbing into third place on the team leaderboard on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind., that will host the 2026 NCAA Cross Country Championships in November.
For the third time this season, junior Hannah Moore led the Bulldogs. She finished 20th overall in a time of 21:22.7. She was among the Top 25 throughout the race.
It was Moore's teammates making moves midway through the race that propelled the Bulldogs from 14th in the team standings at the 2k mark to seventh at the 4k split and ultimately to a third-place finish behind only teams from BYU and North Carolina State.
🔼 Getting Defensive. The Butler volleyball squad limited UConn to the second-lowest hitting percentage by an opponent this season en route to a Friday night sweep of the Huskies at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Raegan Durbin led the way with 10 kills, along with six digs and two blocks, while Ava Hunter controlled the offense dishing out 15 assists in the victory.
As a squad, the ‘Dawgs reeled off 13 service aces on the night.
