🔼 Flyin’ High. The Butler men's golf team captured the team title at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at NCR Country Club's South Course. The Bulldogs finished the 54-hole event at two-under 850, the only team in the field to finish under par.

In all, Butler's total of 850 was eight shots better than runner-up Miami (Ohio). There were 13 teams in the field.

Logan Sutto earned medalist honors, finishing the tournament at 6-under-par 207. Sutto carded rounds of 70, 67 and 70 to claim his second individual title this season. Sutto held off St. Thomas's Miles Bollinger to post a one-shot victory.

🔼 Record Setters. It was a hardware haul for the Butler golf programs as the women’s squad joined the men in sweeping through the Dayton Flyer Invitational.

The ‘Dawgs entered Tuesday’s final round after posting the lowest team round in program history, a 271 (-9) in the second round, and held on to secure the team title at NCR Country Club's North Course.

The program-record second round powered the Bulldogs to the team title. Butler posted rounds of 292, 271, and 294 to finish at 857 (+17). That was good for a 16-shot advantage over runner-up Eastern Kentucky. There were 11 teams in the field.

Addi Kooi earned medalist honors, finishing the tournament at 4-under-par 208. Kooi won the event by five strokes, thanks in large part to a second-round 66. Her tournament victory marked Butler's third individual title and Kooi's second over the five fall events for the Bulldogs.

🔼 Talkin’ Ball. With the season less than two weeks away, Butler head coach Ronald Nored sat down with Dave Calabro from Playmakers to discuss returning to his alma mater, what he learned coaching in the NBA, and the standards he wants Butler basketball to live up to every day.

Nored reflects on Butler’s back-to-back national championship game appearances, the relationships that made those teams special, and the lessons he’s taken from Brad Stevens and Quin Snyder. He also discusses recruiting in the NIL era, competing in the Big East, and finding players who bring the right combination of humility, competitiveness, and a love for basketball.

Plus, hear his thoughts on the Bulldogs’ roster, emerging team leaders, demanding practices, and balancing coaching with four young children. Nored explains what the Butler Way means to him—and shares a message for fans eager to see the program’s next chapter.

🔼 Brace Yourself. After recording his first collegiate brace with his first two collegiate goals last week, Butler men’s soccer standout Finn Moran was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week as well as the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.

Moran scored both goals in Butler's 2-1 victory over Villanova, accounting for all of the Bulldogs' offense in the BIG EAST win. The freshman opened the scoring before delivering the game-winning goal, finishing with four points on three shots, including two on goal.

He was the only BIG EAST player to score multiple goals during the week.

🔼 The Final Countdown. The Maria Marchesano era is less than two weeks away as the Butler women’s hoops squad continues its preparation for the upcoming 2026-27 season over the weekend.

Fans can get their first look at this year’s squad on Saturday, October 24 when the ‘Dawgs square off with Ball State in an open scrimmage at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Tipoff is set for 12 p.m.
