🔼 Putting The Win In Windy City. Nothing like a little flair for the dramatic, right?
The Butler women’s soccer team had just that on Saturday, scoring twice in the final 30 minutes to come-from-behind and pull out a 3-2 road victory at DePaul in BIG EAST play.
With the win, the ‘Dawgs are now unbeaten in their past seven matches dating back to the start of September, going 5-0-2 over that span.
Junior Gemma Gillespie continued her outstanding season, scoring two goals in a five-minute span, including the game-winner. It was her first collegiate brace.
🔼 Making The Mark. The Butler women’s swim team got off to a great start to open the 2026-27 season at the IU Indianapolis Double Dual on Saturday.
In a field comprised of Bellarmine, Bowling Green, Eastern Illinois and Xavier, the ‘Dawgs defeated Xavier for the first time in program history at the event.
Butler posted 26 BIG EAST qualifying times at the event and will now prepare to travel to Crawfordsville, Ind. to compete in the Swim Across America event next weekend.
🔼 All Square. Piling up the points is what the Butler men’s soccer team is doing, earning a second straight scoreless draw in BIG EAST action over the weekend.
The ‘Dawgs limited Seton Hall to just one shot on target en route to a 0-0 draw with the Pirates to remain unbeaten in league play.
🔼 The Journey Home. Butler men's basketball head coach Ronald Nored recently joined Dave Neff on Talent Scout to share how faith, mentorship, and relationships shaped his journey—from Butler's back-to-back national championship appearances to coaching in the NBA and returning to lead his alma mater.
Coach Nored talks about losing his father at 13, the high school coaches who helped him keep going, and why Brad Stevens became his coaching hero. He shares the daily habits that keep him grounded as a husband, father of four, and head coach, along with lessons in authenticity, delegation, and earning players' trust from his NBA coaching career.
🔼 Splitting It Up. The Butler volleyball squad continued its strong start to the BIG EAST slate, earning a weekend split on a trip east with a win at Seton Hall on Friday night before dropping a tough match at St. John’s on Saturday.
Chase Lemming led the way on the weekend with 25 kills in the two matches, while Ava Hunter dished out 42 assists and Jersey Loyer racked up 27 digs defensively.
