🔼 Ticket Punched. For a sixth straight season, the Butler men’s cross country punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships.
At the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Evansville on Friday, the Bulldogs finished second overall to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Championship meet this upcoming Saturday, November 22 in Gans Creek, Mo.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Jesse Hamlin who finished second, covering the 10k championship course in 29:43.16. William Zegarski, last year's Great Lakes individual champion, finished fourth in 29:50.65.
🔼 Balancing Act. The Butler women’s hoops squad used a balanced scoring attack to move to 2-2 on the season with a 73-56 home victory over Northern Kentucky on Sunday.
Lily Zeinstra led the way for the Bulldogs with 14 points, while Mallory Miller added a near double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds. Caroline Dotsey (12) and Saniya Jackson (10) were the other two BU standouts in double-digits for the contest.
🔼 Senior Salute. The Butler volleyball program wrapped up its 2025 campaign this past weekend with their final two home matches.
The weekend was the final in the career of the program’s lone senior on this year’s roster, Riley Tam.
🔼 Texas Tussle. The Butler men’s hoops squad showed its resiliency on Saturday, overcoming a seven-point deficit over the final 76 seconds, but a last second putback by SMU gave the host team a 87-85 win over the Bulldogs in Dallas.
Finley Bizjack led the way once again, finishing with a team-high 18 points, including five more 3-pointers in the game. It was a homecoming of sorts for the Trophy Club, Texas native (which is approximately 30 miles from the SMU campus).
Michael Ajayi posted his fourth consecutive double-double to start the season and his Butler career with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
