🔼 Be Like Mike. Capping off Butler's Greenbrier Tip-Off title weekend, Michael Ajayi not only was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week, he was also named the USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week.

Ajayi racked up his fifth and sixth consecutive double-doubles to begin the season and his Butler career. The graduate student scored 17 points to go along with 14 rebounds in Sunday's 80-73 win over Virginia. Ajayi posted 15 points and 14 rebounds in Friday's 79-72 win over South Carolina. For the two-game week, Ajayi averaged 16.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 assists per game.

On the year, Ajayi has posted double-doubles in all six games. He leads the nation at 9.5 defensive rebounds per game and his rebounding average of 12.5 caroms per game is fifth in the country. He is also registering 15.2 points and 1.5 blocks per game on the season.

🏀 Recapping Ajayi’s Award-Winning Performance

🔼 Roll Call. Ajayi wasn’t the only ‘Dawg recognized for his performance in West Virginia as Finley Bizjack earned his second appearance on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

Bizjack led the Bulldogs in scoring in both Greenbrier Tip-Off wins, averaging 21.5 points per game. Bizjack capped off the weekend with 25 points against Virginia after netting 18 points Friday versus South Carolina.

🔼 Beach & Basketball. While the rest of us are working off Thanksgiving calories and hunting Black Friday deals, the Butler women’s hoops squad is hitting the beach for some hoops.

On Friday, the Bulldogs are set to open up the Ft. Myers Tip-Off event against perennial NCAA Tournament contender Dayton at 5 p.m.

Saturday brings another big opportunity for Butler when they square off in the battle of the Bulldogs with Georgia. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
