🔼 The Champs Live Here. For the fourth time in the past six seasons, the Butler men’s cross country team brought home the BIG EAST Championship.
In a dominant performance, the 14th-ranked Bulldogs scored 26 points, the best team finish by any BIG EAST team at the meet since 2014. Butler had the top two finishers in the field, four of the first six finishers, five of the top 12, and seven of the top 16 across the line.
William Zegarski captured the individual BIG EAST championship, completing the 8k course in 23:08.41. Zegarski becomes the fourth individual champion in program history. Teammate Matthew Forrester finished just five seconds behind, securing second place with a time of 23:11.57.
🔼 In The Hunt. With four games remaining in the regular season, the Butler volleyball squad finds itself right in the mix for a top-four spot in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament.
The ‘Dawgs split the weekend, which included a dominant 3-1 home win over Georgetown.
Entering the final two weekends, Butler is just two games out of a top-four spot with three of the final four games against teams directly above the ‘Dawgs.
🔼 They’re Bacckkkkk. After posting an 11-6 home record last season, the Butler women’s hoops team is officially back in action with the 2025-26 season opener set for 11 am this morning at Hinkle.
The Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back WNIT berths, including advancing to the second round in last year’s tournament.
Sophomore Lily Zeinstra returns to lead the way after a stellar freshman campaign. She is one of three letterwinners returning with nine new players on the roster, including seven transfers and two freshmen.
