🔼 Punch That Ticket. Indiana native and Butler alum Nick Doud continued his incredible story this past weekend.

After walking onto the Butler cross country and track & field squad, Doud would run for the ‘Dawgs for four seasons and just three years later, he punched his ticket to the US Olympic Trials.

Running the California International Marathon in Sacramento, Doud blistered the course to the tune of 2:14.22 to qualify.

🔼 Country’s Finest. Add yet another line to the resume of Butler women’s soccer standout Talia Sommer.

Following her All-East Region honor early last week, Sommer became the fourth Bulldog in program history to earn All-America status. She was one of 60 NCAA Division I soccer players to be named to one of the United Soccer Coaches' 2025 Women's All-America Teams

Sommer, from Tel Aviv, Israel, was named 2025 BIG EAST Co-Midfielder of the Year and was an All-BIG EAST First Team honoree for the third-straight season. She started in all 17 matches in the midfield, leading the team with 19 points, six goals, and seven assists.

🔼 Starting Fast. Now that’s how you start a season!

Kicking off the 2025-26 indoor season, Butler track & field sent squads to Boston, Mass. and South Bend, Ind. for a busy opening weekend.

Butler's Jesse Hamlin kicked off the indoor season in style, breaking his own Butler program record in the 3,000 meters.

The graduate student crossed the line in 7:43.06, breaking his previous mark of 7:44.69 from 2022.
