🔼 Sweet Sweepin’. On a weekend where chocolates and sweets were exchanged all over the world, the Butler softball team picked up a different type of sweet with a weekend sweep of Tennessee State, outscoring the Tigers, 35-17 in the three games.
The ‘Dawgs offense was lights out over the weekend, pounding out 38 hits, drawing 24 walks and stealing 12 bases.
Leading the way was the record-breaking Cate Lehner, who with seven hits in the three games, became the program’s all-time hits leader and now sits at 202.

🔼 There She Goes Again. For the third time in two weeks, freshman Anna Niebrugge once again took down a program record.
Niebrugge’s performance highlighted the ‘Dawgs weekend at the Heartland Invitational in Indianapolis
The Arlington Heights, Ill., native broke the school record in the 60-meter dash again on Friday night with a time of 7.54 seconds. She previously broke the record last weekend with a time of 7.58 seconds.

🔼 Going Ham. Veteran Jesse Hamlin of the Butler men’s track & field program added to his already lengthy resume with yet another school record this past weekend at the prestigious David Hemery Valentine invitational in Boston.
In the 3000-meter race, the Fort Wayne, Ind., native broke his own school record of 7:43.06, posting a time of 7:39.70 in Boston.
