🔼 Road Trippin’. With just two weeks left in the BIG EAST regular season, the Butler hoops squad both hit the road for crucial league matchups tonight.
The men look for a third straight win when they travel to Villanova, who sits in third in the league. Butler is jockeying for position in the middle of the conference standings with three games to play. Tip time in Philly is set for 7 pm on FS1.
On the women’s side, the ‘Dawgs head west to battle DePaul in the penultimate game of the regular season for the squad. Tip time in Chicago is set for 7 pm.
🔼 Pleading The Fifth. With much of our region still dealing with even more winter temperatures, the Butler men’s golf team enjoyed their final few days in Puerto Rico.
On Tuesday, the Bulldogs concluded play at the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Dorado, Puerto Rico, finishing sixth out of 15 teams after posting a 1-under in the final round.
Derek Tabor placed fifth individually, shooting a 71 (-1) in the final round to finish at 213 (-3). Tabor was Butler's only top-10 finisher and the only Bulldog to remain under par for each round of the tournament.
🔼 Roll Call. It was a busy week on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the ‘Dawgs with three student-athletes from two programs earning recognition.
The Butler softball squad earned two spots with both Kendall Graves and Hailey Conger being recognized, while Michael Ajayi continued his outstanding season for the Butler men’s hoops squad with the weekly accolade.
