The madness has arrived. Tourney time is here.

Today, the Butler men’s hoops squad begins its journey at the 2026 BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament at Madison Square Garden.

First up for the ‘Dawgs, is a first round date with Providence at 4 pm on Peacock. The winner advances to tomorrow to meet top-seeded St. John’s at 12 pm.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 The High Rhoades. Coming off a strong weekend against Morehead State, junior first baseman Matthew Rhoades was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week.

Rhoades had a sensational week for Butler against Morehead State. Rhoades had 16 at-bats and recorded nine hits, 10 runs scored and one double. The Monument, Colorado native added five home runs, eight RBIs, one walk and two hit by pitches. The junior hit .563 over the course of the week for Butler.

In addition, Rhoades’ teammate David Ayers was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

🔼 Top-10 Tuesday. Firing three straight rounds under par, junior Leo Zurovac earned a top-10 finish to pace the Butler men’s golf squad this week down south.

Zurovac finished at 8-under at the Surf Collegiate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., including a first-round 4-under slide into ninth on the final leaderboard.

With Finley Bizjack’s 19 points in the regular season finale, he reached the 1,000-point club in just three seasons at Butler.
