🔼 Doublin’ Up. What’s better than one weekly accolade? How about two?

The Butler golf programs swept the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week honors with senior Leo Zurovac winning on the men’s side and sophomore Treva Dodd taking home the women’s accolade.

⛳️ Recapping The Award-Winning Weeks

🔼 The Fine Nine. The full arsenal was on display on Wednesday for the Butler Lacrosse squad, who used nine different goal scorers to earn a 14-9 road win over Gardner-Webb.

With the victory, the ‘Dawgs surpassed the win total of the previous two seasons.

Elise Latham led the offensive attack with five goals of her own, while Riley Ryan led the way in points (two goals, four assists) for Butler.

🔼 The Glass Master. In one season with the ‘Dawgs, Michael Ajayi made sure to etch his name in the Butler record books.

With 11 more boards in the BIG EAST Tournament, Ajayi set a new single-season program record with 356 rebounds.

The Kent, Wash., native reached double-digits in rebounds in 20 of his 32 games this year.

🔼 Winning Wednesday. Heading east for a few matches this week, the Butler men’s tennis squad used four singles wins to pick up a hard-fought 4-3 victory over George Mason on Wednesday afternoon.

With the match square at 3-3, Siddhartha Lama delivered the final point needed for the ‘Dawgs, earning a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles to clinch.
