🔼 History Maker. Thousands of athletes have competed at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships over the past few decades.
Not a single of them accomplished what Butler standout Jesse Hamlin did this past weekend, becoming the first BIG EAST athlete EVER to win the 5000m, mile and 4×800 relay in the same championship.
For his efforts, Hamlin was awarded the BIG EAST Most Outstanding Track Performer and High Point Performer.
As a team, the Bulldog men placed third out of nine teams with a score of 91 points, the second highest finish in program history.
🔼 Senior Salutin’. No better way to head into the BIG EAST Tournament than with momentum on your side, right?
The Butler women’s hoops team will have exactly that after wrapping up the regular season with a senior salute, taking down Seton Hall on Sunday afternoon, 62-55.
Mallory Miller was the star of the day, pouring in 19 points, grabbing three rebounds and dishing out two assists in the victory. McKenna Johnson and Nevaeh Jackson each chipped in 10 points apiece for the ‘Dawgs.
Up next? A trip to Mohegan Sun Arena to open conference tournament play. First up is s date with Georgetown in the 8/9 game on Friday morning at 11 am on Peacock.

Grace Churchwell led the way with a career-high four goals, along with an assist for a team-leading five points on the day. Elise Latham (three goals) and Genna Sulek (three goals) also added hat tricks for Butler.
🔼 Kate The Great. After setting two school records and bringing home two medals from the BIG EAST Championships, Butler Swimming’s Kate Schilling earned even more recognition being named to the All-BIG EAST squad on Friday.
