🔼 Victory at Victory. The Butler baseball team lived up to the ballpark’s name on Tuesday, using a stellar outing from Grayson Bradberry and a dominant offensive performances to roll to an 11-1 win over Toledo at Victory Field.
Offensively, the ‘Dawgs pounded out 12 hits, including three multi-hit performances, led by David Ayers with three hits, including a HR.
🔼 Mashin’ Makena. Behind a two-HR performance from Makena Alexander, the Butler softball team extended its win streak to eight on Tuesday with a 7-6 victory at Ball State.
With the game tied at 5 in the top of the fifth, Olivia Roberts blasted her first HR of her career, and one batter later, Alexander hit her second of the game to put the ‘Dawgs up for good.
🔼 A Lasting Legacy. Just a few months after being inducted into the Butler Athletics Hall of Fame, the ‘Dawgs are mourning the passing of Bill Dugan,’51.
Dugan was a devoted alumnus, accomplished business leader, and one of the University's most generous and enduring supporters.
🔼 Holding Court. After having almost two weeks off, the Butler women’s tennis team returned to the court in a big way with a 5-2 win over Southern Indiana on Sunday.
With that performance, a pair of ‘Dawgs swept the BIG EAST weekly honors with Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington taking home the accolades.
Metcalf earned BIG EAST Singles Player of the Week recognition while also teaming with Arington to pick up the BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week award.
🔼 On A Roll. Coming off a second consecutive BIG EAST sweep, the Butler softball team had a pair of standouts recognized with spots on the Weekly Honor Roll.
Outfielder Hailey Conger and pitcher Katie Petran were both honored for their performances in the conference series with Seton Hall this past weekend.
Conger went 6-for-11 (.544) to go with five runs scored, five RBI and one stolen base in the weekend sweep over the Pirates, while Petran recorded five strikeouts and scattered nine hits in 8.2 innings of work in two appearances over the weekend.
🤔 BUTLER TRIVIA

Freshman Grayson Bradberry became the second Butler hurler to reach 6+ innings in an outing this year with six shutout innings in the win over Toledo on Tuesday.
