🔼 Record Breaker. Junior Makena Alexander etched her name in the Butler softball record books over the weekend, driving in her 46th run of the year to set a new single-season program record for RBIs in a year.

With eight more runs driven in, Alexander would become just the eighth player in program history to reach 100+ career RBIs with the ‘Dawgs.

🔼 Welcome Home! 10 years ago, the Butler softball team brought home the first BIG EAST Softball Championship in program history to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first-time ever.

This past weekend, the ‘Dawgs were welcomed back home and honored for their success!

🔼 Runnin’ Wild. The Butler Track & Field squads continued their strong start to the outdoor season with a weekend full of top-10 performances at the We Fly Challenge in Muncie, Ind.

The men’s squad grabbed eight top-10 finishes, while the women grabbed four.

Aedan Rendek (1500m) and Cabot Craft (triple jump) both took first place in their respective events.

🔼 First Of Many. That’s one that former Butler standout Jack Moroknek will remember forever.

On Saturday night, Moroknek launched his first career HR over the right-field fence for the Class-A Fredericksburg Nationals. The former ‘Dawg is five games into his professional career after being drafted in the 11th round of last year’s MLB Draft.
