🔼 Fresh Faces. Coach Nored and Coach Marchesano are well underway in building their rosters for next season.
This week, each program announced the addition of new transfers that are set to join the Bulldog family for the 2026-27 campaigns.
On the men’s side, Treyson Anderson gives Coach Nored and staff a big addition (literally), as the 6-9 forward arrives in Indianapolis after two seasons at North Dakota State. Last season, he helped lead the Bison to 27 games, a Summit League tournament title and averaged 10.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
For the women, Coach Marchesano and staff welcome Tamar Singer and Lili Krasovec. Singer spent the past two seasons at Miami (Ohio). The 5-4 point guard averaged 10.9 points, 6.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Redhawks, who won 28 games and the MAC Championship last season.
Krasovec, who averaged 11.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game as a junior at Purdue Fort Wayne last season under Marchesano, comes to Butler with one season of eligibility remaining.
🔼 Sideline Addition. The roster wasn’t the only place with an addition for the Butler men’s hoops program this week.
Coach Nored also announced the hiring of veteran assistant Kotie Kimble to the staff for the upcoming season. Kimble arrives with more than 20 years of experience, most recently helping Furman to the 2026 NCAA Tournament and Miami (Fla.) to the 2023 Final Four.
In May 2023, Kimble was one of six select Division I men's basketball assistant coaches who participated in the prestigious Champion Forum, hosted by the NCAA's leadership in Indianapolis. In July 2020, Stadium's Jeff Goodman ranked Kimble as a top-five assistant coach in Conference USA based off an anonymous poll of 20-plus coaches in the league.
🔼 Mighty Max. Righthander Max Winders had quite a week for the Butler Baseball squad.
In Saturday’s 6-0 win against Georgetown, Winders was nearly unhittable, tossing eight shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out five. For his performance, he was named to this week’s BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
🔼 Rollin’ With Robards. Butler softball standout Olivia Robards also grabbed a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Robards hit .714 with three runs scored as the ‘Dawgs took two-of-three from Georgetown on the road. She went 3-for-3 in the last game of the weekend, scoring two runs in a 9-5 victory.
🔼 Drive To Five. The duo of Logan Sutton and Jacob Tarkany led the Butler men’s golf squad to a fifth-place finish in a 13-team field at this week’s one-day, 36-hole Muirfield Shootout.
Sutto and Tarkany both shot back-to-back rounds of even-par 72, tying for fourth individually at the event, hosted at the 7,068-yard Country Club at Muirfield Village.
🤔 BUTLER TRIVIA
This Saturday, Elise Latham will play her final home game at Varsity Field when the Butler women’s lacrosse team hosts Villanova on Senior Day.
Latham currently sits seventh in the BIG EAST in goals per game this season. How many career goals does Latham have during her four seasons at Butler?
Got a guess?
