🔼 Grand Ole Time. A fifth straight win for the Butler baseball team came in grand old fashion on Tuesday evening.

With the ‘Dawgs trailing by as many as eight, Butler put together a seven-run fifth and a five-run seventh, headlined by a grand slam from Danny Gavin, en route to a thrilling 14-12 win over Southern Indiana.

🔼 Ballin’ Out. The Butler men’s tennis team is hitting their stride at the right time heading into the regular season finale this weekend.

Helping lead the ‘Dawgs to wins in four of their past six matches, Riccardo Baldi was named the BIG EAST Men’s Singles Player of the Week on Monday.

Baldi led Butler to a 2-0 BIG EAST weekend with a pair of straight-set wins at No. 1 singles for the Bulldogs.

🔼 Praisin’ A Pair. When you sweep your opening conference series on the road, you’re going to turn some heads. That’s exactly what the Butler baseball squad did.

A pair of ‘Dawgs were praised for the 4-0 week last week with Brock Buckley being named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week and Gavin Gilmore earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

Former Butler Standout Ryan Pepiot is set to return next week to the Tampa Bay Rays’ starting rotation.

Pepiot is looking to comeback from a hip injury that sidelined him during spring training earlier this year. The former ‘Dawg is entering his fifth MLB season and third with the Rays. He’s accumulated 24 wins and a 3.54 ERA in 67 career starts.
