🔼 Back-To-Back. One year later and the result is the same.
Butler track & field standout William Zegarski is going out on top as the veteran distance runner claimed his second consecutive 10k BIG EAST Championship on Thursday night in Storrs, Conn.
Zegarski crossed the finish line in 28:51.84 to take the top spot.

🔼 Storm Settlers. All season long, no one had beaten St. John’s in game one of a BIG EAST series.
Until Thursday night.
That’s when the Butler Bulldogs rolled into Queens and used a spectacular performance from Charlie Schebler to pull out a 7-3 victory. Schebler finished 4-for-5 with a HR and three RBIs in the win.
🔼 Save The Dates. Butler fans should circle two more dates on their November calendar as the Bulldogs will host Fairleigh Dickinson and Western Carolina at Hinkle Fieldhouse in non-conference play.
The Bulldogs will host Fairleigh Dickinson Wednesday, Nov. 4 and Western Carolina Tuesday, Nov. 17. Butler's non-conference schedule continues to take shape as these match-ups join two previously-announced tips: the regular season opener versus Lafayette on Monday, Nov. 2 and a Black Friday contest against Bellarmine Friday, Nov. 27.
The tip times and television assignments for the match-ups will be announced at a later date. Additional games on Butler's non-conference schedule will be released soon.
🔼 Touting Tabor. This week, Butler's Derek Tabor earned All-BIG EAST second team honors for the 2025-26 season.
He was a three-time BIG EAST Golfer of the Week and posted three top three finishes this season. Tabor finished under par in five tournaments during the spring - and on eight occasions overall.
🔼 Academic Aces. The court wasn’t the only place these Butler tennis standouts were serving up aces.
On the women's side, senior standouts Chase Metcalf and Jordan Schildcrout were recognized alongside junior Elle Martin. Junior Nicholas Shirley represented the Butler men's program.
