🔼 Medalin’ Up. It all started on Friday night with a championship performance from William Zegarski in the 10k and the ‘Dawgs continued their podium presence all weekend long at the 2026 BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Highlighting the weekend was Cabott Craft (long jump) and Joseph Pierro (200m), who both took home gold in their individual events.

On the women’s side, Anna Niebrugge earned two podium finishes on the final day, finishing second in the 200m and third in the 100m. Both were personal best times for the freshman sensation.

🔼 Give Us Some Moore. Another piece to the puzzle for Coach Nored and the ‘Dawgs were added last week.

Christian Moore, who averaged 11.2 points per game last season at The Citadel, signed to join the Bulldog roster beginning with the 2026-27 season.

The 6-6 forward started 23 of the 31 games he played in for The Citadel as a redshirt sophomore in 2025-26. He finished as the team's second-leading scorer and among the Top 25 in the Southern Conference. Moore hit 63 three-pointers on 39-percent shooting on the season. Moore scored in double figures 17 times, including three games with 20 or more points.

🔼 Region’s Finest. The accolades continue to roll in for the Butler softball duo of Makena Alexander and Hailey Conger.

Late last week, the pair were selected to the 2026 NFCA DI All-Region Team (Great Lakes). Alexander was chosen for the First Team while Conger earned Third Team recognition. This was the first All-Region honor for either student-athlete.

Alexander is only the second Bulldog to be selected for the All-Region First Team, joining Melissa Lamrick who received the honor in 2004. While Butler has had nine total representatives on one of the teams, this is the first year that the program has had two representatives in the same season.

Registration is now open for the 2026 Butler Golf Classic presented by NFP. This university-wide event on Thursday, Sept. 17 brings the Butler community together for an incredible day on the links, with all proceeds directly benefiting Butler Athletics.

For the second consecutive year, Old Oakland Golf Club will serve as the backdrop for the event.
