🔼 Tourney Time. All the early mornings. All the extra rounds of batting practice. All the work in the weight room.

It all builds up to this week in Rosemont, Ill. as the Butler Softball squad heads to compete in the 2026 BIG EAST Championship.

The ‘Dawgs enter as the four-seed and will square off with Providence in tomorrow’s first-round at 1 pm.

They will do so with two BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll members after Alyx Johnson and Hailey Conger were recognized by the league this week. Conger hit .714 with three RBIs and two runs scored in the weekend series win over Providence, while Johnson was outstanding in the circle for the ‘Dawgs, allowing just one earned run in 7.1 innings of work against the Friars.

🔼 The Sutto Surge. Sophomore Logan Sutto of the Butler men’s golf team wrapped up his second season with the ‘Dawgs in style.

The Monclova, Ohio native carded a six-under 66, which moved him up 14 spots on the individual leaderboard on the final day of the 2026 BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championship on Monday.

Sutto finished ninth overall after his 66, which included an eagle and five birdies.

Logan Baker and Brock Buckley were both recognized for their performances.

Baker was superb, starting all four games for the Dawgs. The senior batted .462 in 13 plate appearances, recording six hits, five runs scored, one double and three RBIs.

Buckley was sensational against Seton Hall on Sunday, tossing 7.0 innings and allowing seven hits and only two runs while punching out nine. Buckley picked up his third win of the season on Sunday, while limiting SHU to just two runs.
