📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Marchin’ On. The Butler Softball team announced their presence at the 2026 BIG EAST Championship with authority on Thursday afternoon.

The Bulldogs, who came in as the No. 4 seed, opened the tournament with nine runs in the first inning and never looked back, taking down top-seeded Providence, 10-3, to advance to the BIG EAST semifinals.

In the contest, Cate Lehner broke a Butler career record when she stole second base in the first inning.  It was her 108th steal over four seasons with the Bulldogs.

🔼 A Five-Piece. Even before stepping onto the field at the 2026 BIG EAST Tournament, the Butler Softball squad already had piled up a haul of accolades to bring back to Indianapolis.

Five Bulldogs were selected to the All-BIG EAST awards announced this week, led by Makena Alexander, Cate Lehner, and Hailey Conger, who ere chosen for the All-BIG EAST First Team. Maren Berger and Katie Petrna earned spots on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.

🔼 Going Global. Coach Nored and his staff went global for the newest addition to the Butler men’s basketball program. This week, the ‘Dawgs officially welcomed 6-foot-6 Finnish guard, Samu Adler.

Adler has played in the Korisliiga, the top league in Finland, for the past two seasons with Salon Vilpas. He was selected as the league's Rookie of the Year in 2025.

So far this season, Adler is averaging more than 15 points per game. Adler has scored 20 or more points nine times this season and has registered double figures in 26 of his 31 games. He has also handed out five or more assists in nine games so far this season.

🔼 ‘Dawgs Over Deals. Who needs Black Friday Deals when you have the ‘Dawgs?

For the second consecutive season, Butler is providing fans with a home men's basketball game over Thanksgiving weekend. The Bulldogs will host Bellarmine on Black Friday (Nov. 27) at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The tip times and television assignments for the match-ups will be announced at a later date. Additional games on Butler's non-conference schedule will be released soon.
