🔼 Boise Battlin’. Butler will travel to Idaho for a Sunday, Nov. 8 tip against Boise State to conclude the home-and-home series that began last season in Indianapolis.

The contest caps the first week of the 2026-27 regular season that will see the Bulldogs play twice at home before heading west to Boise.

The tip time and television assignment for the match-up at ExtraMile Arena will be announced at a later date.

Butler has previously announced five games (all at Hinkle Fieldhouse): an Oct. 10 exhibition against Indiana State to begin the Ronald Nored Era, the regular season opener against Lafayette Nov. 2, a Nov. 4 tip versus Fairleigh Dickinson, a game against Western Carolina Nov. 17, and a Black Friday contest against Bellarmine Nov. 27.

🔼 Sideline Additions. Two more additions to the Butler basketball staffs were announced last week with the hiring of Karen Stack as an assistant coach and director of player personnel for the women’s team and Conner Varney joining the ‘Dawgs men’s staff as the director of strategy & video.

Stack joins the Bulldogs staff after spending the last four seasons with Northwestern. Prior to her time with the Wildcats, she spent over 30 years as a member of the Chicago Bulls organization where she most notably served stints as the Director of Basketball Administration and Director of Team Operations and was a part of six NBA championship teams with the Bulls. Prior to the 2018-19 season, Stack was named the first female assistant coach in the history of the franchise.

Prior to coming to Butler, Varney was with the Atlanta Hawks since 2023. He served as the head video coordinator for two seasons before spending the 2025-26 season as a coaching associate. Nored and Varney worked together on Quin Snyder's staff for each of those three seasons.

Don't miss out on the best way for your young Bulldog fan to be a part of the action every game!

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 89 DAYS

In 1989, Steve Roberts earned his second Kodak All-American honor. He is one of just four ‘Dawgs in program history to earn All-American accolades in two different seasons.

During the ‘89 season, Roberts led Butler to a 7-2-1 overall record and a perfect 4-0 ledger in Heartland Collegiate Conference play to earn the program’s sixth and final title in that conference before the ‘Dawgs moved to the Midwest Intercollegiate Football Conference in 1990.
