Back for one last ride, #5️⃣0️⃣ Jack Mitchell returns to the ‘Dawgs offensive line room for his redshirt senior season in 2026.

A St. Louis native, Mitchell has appeared in 11 games over the past four years for the ‘Dawgs, including his collegiate debut against Morehead State in 2022.

🔼 First Impressions. Butler fans are used to seeing this one.

Former Dawg Michael Ajayi made his NBA Summer League debut last night with the Charlotte Hornets and put together a stat line much he posted all of last season for Butler.

In 16 minutes of action, Ajayi scored nine points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists and tallied two steals in the Hornets’ 86-74 victory over the Orlando Magic.

He and the Hornets are back in action on Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans at 4 p.m. on ESPN.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. We love seeing the Butler family grow!

This week, the Butler Women's Track and Field/ Cross Country teams have announced the signing of 14 female student-athletes for this upcoming fall. The 14 student-athletes have signed with Butler and will make Indianapolis their home to start the 2026-27 season.

"We are incredibly excited about our 2026 women's class," said Head Coach Matt Roe. "It is the deepest and most balanced recruiting class in school history. With a centered focus on the Midwest, we were able to land some top prospects in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Minnesota. With the signing of multiple state champions, and athletes from top winning prep programs, we have attracted a sizable group of talented women who love to train and compete at a high level.”

🔼 Joining The Fun. The women’s team wasn’t the only one adding to the family this week as the Butler men’s cross country and track & squad also announced their newcomers for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

16 incoming student-athletes from six different states and four different countries will join the ‘Dawgs in the fall.

"With multiple national and state champions added to our roster, as well as several of the most accomplished middle distance, and distance prospects in the midwest, we have secured a historic recruiting class," said Head Coach Matt Roe. "Without question, this is the most complete men's class in school history, positively impacting every area that we cover on the track, in the field, and in cross country. We have managed to simultaneously add both depth and quality while staying true to our vision of consistently recruiting high character and elite students to the program."
