🔼 Battlin’ The Buzz. Get your holiday shopping done early this year because you won’t want to miss Saturday, December 19th.
This week, Indiana Sports Corp, in conjunction with Pacers Sports & Entertainment and Russ Potts Productions, Inc., announced the matchups for the fifth annual Indy Classic with Butler scheduled to take on Georgia Tech, while Purdue will face Colorado in a premier college basketball doubleheader at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Indy Classic returns to downtown Indianapolis, bringing together four nationally recognized programs for one of the marquee non-conference events of the college basketball season. Ticket information, game times, and television details will be announced at a later date.
🔼 Top Dawgs. Three Bulldogs earned 2025-26 Academic All-America honors, as announced by College Sports Communicators this week.
Jesse Hamlin, Matthew Forrester and William Zegarski were named to the Academic All-America second team, joining 151 other student-athletes across all NCAA divisions to earn a spot on one of the teams.
The 2025-26 Academic All-America teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the classroom and during the cross country/track & field season.
🔼 Holding Court. On the court wasn’t the only place the Butler men’s hoops squad had success this past year.
This week, Butler was among the list of recipients of the 2025-26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards. The ‘Dawgs also had five members of its 2025-26 roster recognized with Honors Court awards: Michael Ajayi, Jalen Jackson, Jamie Kaiser Jr., Ethan McComb, and Yohan Traore.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
🏈 COUNTIN’ THE DAYS: 4️⃣3️⃣ DAYS
Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Butler Football this fall. The Bulldogs will
host Georgetown College on August 29 at 1 p.m.

We love having Indiana’s own as part of the program.
A native of Granger, Indiana, #4️⃣3️⃣ Gage Goralski is ready to take a step up as part of the Butler tight end room.
Entering his redshirt sophomore year, Goralski has seen action in three games over the past two seasons.
Before arriving at Butler, he was a three-year starter at Penn High School where he earned all-Conference accolades and captained his squad to a 10-2 overall record during his senior year.
