Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Butler Football this fall. The Bulldogs will
host Georgetown College on August 29 at 1 p.m.

It was a classic back-and-forth PFL battle last September when Marist rolled into the Sellick Bowl for the league opener for both teams.

With the ‘Dawgs down 28-24 with under two minutes to play, Archie Cox took a short pass from Reagan Andrew, broke a tackle and sprinted 48 yards for the deciding score in a thrilling 3️⃣1️⃣-28 victory over the Red Foxes.

🔼 Hinkle Hoopin’. The non-conference portion of Butler men’s hoops 2026-27 schedule has been finalized with the addition of three contests at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
 
The Bulldogs will host Northeastern (Thursday, Nov. 19), Presbyterian (Wednesday, Dec. 2) and USC Upstate (Wednesday, Dec. 16).  

The tip times and television assignments for the match-ups will be announced at a later date. Butler's home non-conference now includes eight regular season games and two exhibitions at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

🔼 Preseason Praise. With just over a month left before kickoff, the preseason praise is rollin’ in for the Butler Football squad.

On Tuesday, a trio of ‘Dawgs were named to the 2026 Preseason All-Pioneer Football League team. Juniors Charles Mackley, Luke Green and Mason Armstrong all earned recognition.

On Monday, Butler was picked fifth in the preseason poll by the PFL coaches.

🔼 Top ‘Dawgs. Each year, the BIG EAST recognizes one team in each sport with a Team Academic Excellence Award.

This year, Butler had five programs honored, men's basketball, softball, women's soccer, women's indoor track and field, and women's outdoor track and field, which tied for the conference-high with St. John's.

The awards are presented annually to the team in each conference-sponsored sport that records the highest cumulative grade-point average. Team GPAs are calculated using every student-athlete listed on an institution's official roster at the conclusion of the championship segment in each sport.

Single-game tickets for Butler's fall sports are on sale NOW!

Bulldog fans can purchase tickets to football, volleyball, women's soccer and men's soccer contests with games beginning next month at the Sellick Bowl and Hinkle Fieldhouse on the Butler campus.

Mason Armstrong racked up a career-best 65 tackles last season for the ‘Dawgs.
