🔼 Welcome Home. Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog.
Leah Rubino, the most decorated player in Butler women's lacrosse history, has been named the head coach of the Bulldog program.
Rubino has been coaching club lacrosse with Circle City Lacrosse while working in the private sector in the Indianapolis area over the last few years.
Rubino finished her Butler career as a two-time All-BIG EAST First Team selection. The midfielder netted 93 goals, which is a program record. Rubino started 50 of the 58 games she played in a Bulldog uniform. She graduated as the program's career leader in not only goals but also points, caused turnovers, ground balls and draw controls.
🔼 Hitting The Pool. While most of us will be hitting the pool for the holiday weekend, the Butler swimming program diving in plenty of times this year as they unveiled their full 2026-27 slate this week.
Head Coach Maurice Stewart released the schedule, which features 11 meets, highlighted by the 18th Annual Butler Invitational on Jan. 31 and the BIG EAST Championships Meet on Feb. 17.
🏈 COUNTIN’ THE DAYS: 5️⃣4️⃣ DAYS
Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Butler Football this fall. The Bulldogs will
host Georgetown College on August 29 at 1 p.m.
Not one, not two, but three times throughout his historic career at Butler, Zach Watkins earned All-PFL honors.
That’s what happens when you put together one of the best careers ever as a Butler wide receiver.
The Chicago native finished his time with 25️⃣4️⃣ receptions, a record that still stands to this day as the most in program history.
Watkins earned First Team accolades twice, including his senior year in 2011.
🏀 HISTORIC HOSTS
On Tuesday, the NBA announced that the Emirates NBA Cup 2026 Championship will be played at Butler’s iconic Hinkle Fieldhouse. The winner-take-all game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 11 during the 2026-27 NBA season and will stream exclusively on Prime Video.
The selection of Hinkle Fieldhouse reflects the NBA's multiyear vision to bring the Championship to distinctive stages that honor the sport's history while connecting with audiences around the world.
