🔼 Just Getting Started. The Butler women’s soccer squad kicked off the 2025-26 athletic calendar in a big way, putting forth a dominant road effort at Central Michigan, coming away with a 2-0 victory over the Chippewas.
Defensively, the ‘Dawgs stifled Central Michigan, limiting to just three shots for the entire game, while Butler fired off 20.
BU would find the back of the net for the first time in the 76th minute when Leila Lister took a feed from Norah Jacomen for the game’s first goal. Just eight minutes later, Lister drops a pass to Taliah Sommer to seal the victory for the ‘Dawgs.
🔼 Steppin’ Into The Backfield. The Bulldog backfield will help move the sticks this year as Butler returns quarterback Reagan Andrew to the huddle. The two-time PFL Offensive Player of the Week was a dual threat for BU last year, throwing for 1,717 yards and rushing for 566.
At running back, Griffin Caldwell and Ershod Jasey II have entered camp as upperclassmen looking to get more snaps in 2025.

🔼 Ready For More. Last year, Lily Zeinstra was just getting started for Butler women’s hoops program.
Now, the Michigan native is ready for more as she heads into her sophomore season with the ‘Dawgs.
⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 1️⃣5️⃣ DAYS

This one goes way back for the Butler OGs (as the kids say).
The date was September 23, 1972.
The opponent was Ball State.
In a thrilling 50-41 victory, Bulldog great Tom Redmond set an all-time program record with 1️⃣5️⃣ catches to highlight the offensive shootout. That program record still stands to this day as the most catches in a single game.
Since that game, four Butler receivers have caught 14 passes in a single game, most recently, Luke Wooten in 2022.
