🔼 Making The List. Last week, it was the Butler women’s soccer team kicking off the 2025-26 athletic calendar with a W.
Tomorrow, both soccer programs look to get in the win column as the Bulldogs are set to host a doubleheader at the Sellick Bowl.
The women look to improve to 2-0 when they host Illinois State at 5 pm, followed by the men, who make their season debut when they welcome Western Illinois to town for an 8 pm kickoff.
🔼 Earning Accolades. We’re only one week into the 2025 season and the ‘Dawgs are already bringing home the accolades.
This week, women’s soccer defender Kate Malin was selected as the BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, while teammate Leila Lister was recognized on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Malin, from Westfield, Indiana, notched an assist on the game-winning goal in her first collegiate start. The defender helped anchor a line that limited Central Michigan to only two shots with one on goal.
🔼 Power Pair. The preseason accolades continue to roll in for the Butler soccer programs as this week, a pair of ‘Dawgs were recognized nationally.
Talia Sommer added yet another line to her resume as she was named the #34 ranked player in the country entering the 2025 season by Top Drawer Soccer, while on the men’s side, Ryan Hannosh earned a spot on the Forwards To Watch List from the United Soccer Coaches Association.
⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 1️⃣0️⃣ DAYS

One of the integral parts of the Bulldog football program is back in #1️⃣0️⃣ this fall as Jeremiah Jackson is ready for one more season at Butler.
Jackson is back to lead the defensive unit after earning All-PFL Second Team accolades last season, starting 11 games for the ‘Dawgs, racking up 35 tackles, four TFLs and three INTs.
In his three seasons with his hometown team, Jackson has 113 tackles, 14 TFLs and three sacks.
