🔼 Always Remember Your First. Welp, that’s one way to get your first collegiate goal.
What a moment for freshman Aiden Benitez and the Butler men’s soccer team as the youngster fired one into the back of the net in the 75th minute on Sunday night to give the ‘Dawgs a thrilling 1-0 victory over visiting Bowling Green.
The win is the first of the fall for the men’s squad, who are right back at home on Thursday night when Detroit Mercy comes to town.
🔼 Turnin’ Heads. Former Butler All-American Angelina Ellis turned some heads in the track world this past weekend.
Racing in the brand new 1 mile steeplechase at the Brussels Diamond League, Ellis torched the track to the tune of 4:46.74, finishing second overall, only six seconds off the pace of Gold Medalist Winfred Yavi.
The event will be eligible for World Record and American record status in 2026

🔼 All Tied Up. The Butler women’s soccer team remained unbeaten in 2025 with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against in-state rival Purdue on Sunday afternoon.
In the 34th minute, the Bulldogs used a corner kick from Talia Sommer to eventually find the right foot of Leila Lister for the game’s first goal and a 1-0 lead.
Purdue found the equalizer in the 78th minute and neither team was able to pull ahead in the game’s final minutes.
🤔 BUTLER TRIVIA

Ryan Pepiot tossed five strong innings on Sunday to lead Tampa Bay to a 7-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. It gave him a career-high nine victories on the season.
What is the single-season high for wins in a Butler alum in the MLB?
Got a guess?
