It’s almost that time! We’re are just over 72 hours away from kickoff in Iowa and we CAN’T WAIT!

🔼 Joining The Fun. The football squad isn’t the only one joining the fun this weekend as the Butler volleyball program is set to get their 2025 campaign rolling this weekend at BU’s Big Dawg Kickoff.

Third-year head coach Kyle Shondell will have nine returning student-athletes from last year's team to help the Dawgs compete on the court during 2025. 

Rylie Tam is the lone senior on this year's team. Shondell has brought in four freshmen and one transfer. Sophomore Ellery Rees played last season at the University of Alabama. Rees appeared in 41 sets and collected 73 kills and 24 blocks during her freshman season. 

The 2024 Bulldog leader in kills, Elise Ward is back for her junior season. Ward finished with 232 kills last season. Alaleh Tolliver, who tallied 190 kills during the 2024 season is back for her sophomore season. Tolliver, Ward, along with freshmen Maria Nix and Ellie Barker are the Dawgs Outside Hitters.

🔼 Court Is In Session. With classes starting on campus, so is the action on the courts.

The Butler tennis programs are back at it and this week, the ‘Dawgs unveiled their 2025 fall slate which includes three tournaments for the men’s side and four for the women.
