🔼 Going Campin’. The ‘Dawgs are back and they are grinding.

Last week, the Butler football team returned to the gridiron for the first few days of training camp in preparation for the upcoming 2025 season.

Stay tuned all month as we bring you updates from camp to get you ramped up for the year ahead.

🔼 Turning Heads. Games are still two weeks away, but Butler soccer standout Lucia Englund has already turned heads this summer.

Recently, she was recognized by the Women’s Premier Soccer League as the league wrapped up its summer campaign.

She was named to the Best XI of the Lake Michigan Division in the North Lakes Conference. The outside defensive back notched a pair of goals and added three assists with Bavarian United out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Now in its 28th season, the WPSL is the largest and longest-running women's soccer league in the world, featuring 151 teams across 34 states.  WPSL rosters feature elite collegiate athletes, top high school prospects, and post-collegiate veterans. 

🔼 We Hoopin’. The soccer and football Dawgs aren’t the only one grinding away their summer days!

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 2️⃣6️⃣ DAYS

Chuck Orban was a monster for the Butler football program in the late 80s.

Orban was the anchor of the Bulldogs defense and is the current career record holder for career solo tackles with 2️⃣6️⃣9 (ok, ok, we cheated a little to use it with 26 on the countdown clock).

He also is the program’s all-time leader in total tackles with 487.
