🔼 Old Dawg, Same Tricks. That’s not a bad group of names to be looped in with, huh?

Former Butler standout Kamar Baldwin is up to his old tricks on the global stage as he helped Georgia to a stunning upset of France in the 2025 Eurobasket Tournament.

Baldwin went 8-of-10 from the field, pouring in 24 points, grabbing four rebounds, dishing out two assists and snatching two steals to lead his squad to the victory.

By the time you open this email, the former Bulldog and his Georgia team will have already battled Finland for a spot in the Final Four.

🔼 Teeing Off. A pair of Bulldogs earned top-15 finishes as the Butler women’s golf program got their fall season underway this week at the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State.

Butler's Cybil Stillson and Addi Kooi led the Bulldog effort, both tying for 12^th at 224 (+8).

As a team, the Bulldogs finished third among the 16-team field at 897 (+33). Eastern Kentucky won the event at 897 (+15), one shot better than runner-up South Dakota. EKU shot an even-par 288 Monday, which was the best team round of the tournament.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. An experienced player and coach will be roaming the sidelines for the Butler women’s hoops squad this upcoming season.

Earlier this week, head coach Austin Parkinson announced the addition of Chelsey Perry to his staff as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs.

Perry brings significant experience with a professional playing career in addition to recently beginning her coaching journey. She was selected in the third round (26^th overall) of the 2021 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, becoming the first player in UT Martin history to be taken in the WNBA Draft while ranking as the highest selection in Ohio Valley Conference history.

Perry began her coaching career during the 2024-25 season as a member of the Taylor University staff, working alongside head coach and Butler alum Cassie (Freeman) Wiseman and assistant coach and former Butler student-athlete Rachel McLimore.

Tip-off may be two months away, but the party is about to begin for the Dawgs.

The 2025-26 Butler Basketball Tip-Off Party is set for Monday, Sept. 15 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
 
Join us for an exclusive opportunity to hear from Vice President and Director of Athletics Grant Leiendecker, Head Coaches Thad Matta and Austin Parkinson, along with student-athletes, as they gear up for an action-packed season under the Hinkle lights.

Included in the event will be student-athlete autograph opportunities, interactive games and activities, gameday food from Indy Anna's Catering and much more!

Hinkle Fieldhouse doors will open at 6 p.m. with the chance to hear from our coaches and student-athletes starting at 6:45 p.m.
