🔼 Back At The Bowl. One of the oldest football rivalries in the state of Indiana will put another chapter in the series when Butler hosts Franklin tomorrow at the Sellick Bowl.
A rivalry that dates back to 1887, the ‘Dawgs and Grizzlies will square off for the first time since 2017 as Butler looks to extend its win streak to seven straight over Franklin.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday night.
🔼 Downtown Dub. The scoring started early and often for the Butler women’s soccer squad, who rolled to a 4-0 victory over IU Indy on Thursday night at Michael A. Carroll Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
Chloe Brecht secured her first career brace with two second-half goals to help the ‘Dawgs pull away.
Butler is back in action at home on Sunday, welcoming Central Michigan to town for a 1 p.m. showdown.
🔼 The Friendly Confines. We’d have to say the Butler Volleyball squad likes its home court advantage.
The ‘Dawgs moved to a perfect 4-0 at home this year with a decisive 3-1 victory over visiting Bellarmine on Thursday night.
It was total team effort with nine different players tallying at least one kill, led by Zoe McDonald, who had a team-high nine.
🔼 And Another One. This week, the Butler women's basketball team announced another non-conference game for the 2026 season. The Bulldogs will face the Central Michigan Chippewas in Mount Pleasant, Mich., on Sunday, Nov. 8.
Butler is 2-1 all-time against CMU in a series that dates back to the 1995-96 season.
The tip times and television assignments for the match-up will be announced at a later date.
🔼 Ready To Run. Better late than never, right?
The 2026 Butler cross country season is set to begin this morning in East Lansing, Mich., as the Bulldogs make the drive north to compete in the Spartan Invitational hosted by Michigan State.
This morning serves as Butler's 2026 opener after the team decided not to compete at last weekend's Fighting Illini Invitational due to the expected high temperatures.
The women's 6k begins at 9 a.m., followed by the men's 8k at 9:30 a.m. The Forest Akers East Golf Course utilized for Friday's meet will also host the NCAA Great Lakes Regional later this fall.
🎉 MONDAY, MONDAY, MONDAY!
The inaugural Butler All Access—a block party for all Bulldog fans—is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14 at the Sellick Bowl on the Butler campus.
The FREE event is slated for 5-7 p.m., welcoming members of the Butler and surrounding communities to campus to kick off Homecoming Week on campus.
Butler All Access is designed around interactive, team-hosted activities for fans of all ages. Bulldog student-athletes will be heavily involved in the activities.
