🔼 Roll Call. The Emmys weren’t the only awards being handed out this week.

Two of Butler’s fall sports stars were recognized with spots on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after standout performances for their squads.

Talia Sommer’s four points for the Bulldogs’ women’s soccer squad earned her the recognition, while Alaleh Tolliver’s 54 kills not only earned her a Honor Roll spot, but also was named to the Sycamore Invitational All-Tournament Team.

🔼 En Fuego. Autumn may be around the corner, but that’s not cooling down former Butler standout Paige Monaghan, who is on a tear with the Utah Royals FC of the NWSL.

Prior to Monaghan’s return to the lineup in August, Utah had just one win on the year.

The former Bulldog, who has taken over the captain duties of the squad, has scored in three straight games and helped the Royals to a five-match unbeaten streak, including two victories.

🔼 Making An Impact. Sure, we love the wins. Sure, we love the exciting plays.

But this, this is what it’s really about.

This past weekend, the Butler women’s soccer squad got to spend some time with the TOPSoccer foundation in Indianapolis.

TOPSoccer is an outreach program for soccer fostering the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America’s youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition. There are thousands of children with disabilities who need, and can be provided with, the opportunity to play soccer through the TOPSoccer program.
