🔼 Happy Homecoming. A special Homecoming weekend is on tap as Butler Football is once again back at home at the Sellick Bowl for a Saturday afternoon showdown with Chicago State.
The Bulldogs are coming off an impressive 52-0 victory over Franklin last weekend as they improved to 2-1 on the season.
Butler has been particularly effective on the ground, averaging 223.7 rushing yards per game, while quarterback Gabe Passini leads the team with 249 rushing yards and is completing 67.7% of his passes.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
🔼 The League Layout. Butler's 2026-27 women's basketball schedule is now complete with the announcement of the Bulldogs' 20 BIG EAST conference games.
The 2026-27 season marks the second year of a six-year media agreement running through 2030-31, encompassing coverage across FOX Sports, NBC Sports, and TNT Sports.
The Bulldogs will open the conference portion of their schedule on Friday, Dec. 4 as Butler hosts Seton Hall at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Game times and television information will be announced at a later date.
🔼 Sneak Peek. We are now just 18 days away from Butler Basketball fans getting their first looks at the 2026-27 Bulldogs at this year's Tip-Off Party on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The FREE event at Hinkle Fieldhouse – aimed at Butler fans of all ages – will provide fans the ability to see both the men's and women's basketball teams on the court.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the Bulldogs on the court from approximately 6:30-8 p.m. Young Bulldogs are welcome to shoot on the court – a longtime Hinkle tradition that occurs after every Butler Basketball game – from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Get to know the players and staff throughout the evening as both teams take part in an open practice setting that includes scrimmages, three-point shootouts, knockout, on-court interviews, and much more.
🔼 Saturday Showdown. The Butler women’s soccer team looks to put an exclamation point on their nonconference schedule when Western Illinois visits Varsity Field for a Homecoming weekend battle.
Winners of three straight, the ‘Dawgs look to keep momentum going into BIG EAST play, which is set to get underway next week.
Butler will look to keep the offense rolling as the ‘Dawgs have outscored their opponents, 9-1, over the past three matches.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
🔼 Special K. For the first time in his Butler career, redshirt sophomore Kyle Grove was named the BIG EAST Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week.
He led the Bulldogs in their first competition of the 2026 season, placing sixth overall at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Michigan State last weekend.
Grove and the Bulldogs, ranked No. 16 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association preseason poll, return to action Saturday at the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.
