🔼 Runnin’ Man. For the second straight week, the Butler men’s cross country squad brought home BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week honors.
This week, it was William Zegarski after earning a 12th-place individual finish among a loaded field at the John McNichols Invitational.
The Bulldogs placed tenth among a 34-team field that included 14 nationally-ranked squads.
🔼 And Another One. For the second time this season, Butler goalkeeper Brooks Boersma earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week accolades after shutting out No. 6 Akron last Friday.
The Michigan native made eight saves in 90 minutes of action as the Bulldogs shut out the Zips on their own pitch. He and the Bulldogs defense faced 22 total shots in the match.
🔼 Youth Of A Nation. The future of the Butler volleyball program was on full display this past weekend at the Butler Invitational.
Indiana native Chase Lemming had a dominant weekend for the ‘Dawgs and was honored as the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.
Highlighted by a career-high 28 kills against Duke, Lemming finished the weekend with 45 kills, three digs and three blocks for the ‘Dawgs.
🔼 Back In The Lab. With just 40 days separating us from the start of the Maria Marchesano era for Butler women’s hoops, the ‘Dawgs hit the court this week for the first official practice for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

This weekend, the Butler women’s soccer squad will take a four-game win streak into BIG EAST play when Marquette comes to town for a Saturday night showdown at the Sellick Bowl.
