🔼 Always Remember Your First. Butler picked up its first win of 2025 as the Bulldogs defeated Truman State, 37-27, in the team's home opener Saturday afternoon at the Sellick Bowl in Indianapolis.
The win is the first career victory for head coach Kevin Lynch, who was hired in December to lead the Butler program.
Reagan Andrew accounted for Butler's first four touchdowns – two passing and two rushing – before leaving the game in the third quarter with an injury. His shortened day ended with 156 passing yards on 14-for-17 throwing and 34 rushing yards.
The ‘Dawgs are now 16-4 when playing at the Sellick Bowl since the beginning of the 2022 season.

🔼 Buzzer Beater. Nothing like waiting til the last second.
On Friday night, the Butler men's soccer team produced a thrilling, last-second victory over Western Michigan, scoring with a mere seven seconds on the clock.
The Bulldogs and the Broncos each scored a goal in the first half, and it looked as if the game would end in a draw. But as time was running out, Butler gained possession of the ball, connected on a couple of passes, and set up the game winner for freshman Aiden Benitez.

🔼 Off And Running. No better way to start a season than with a dominating performance, right?
That’s exactly what the Butler cross country squads did in Ohio on Friday at the Mike Baumer XC Classic.
On the men's side, Butler took five of the top eight positions on the leaderboard as Brendan Thomas won the 5K race in a time of 14:33.3. Kyle Grove and Asher Propst followed in third and fourth respectively, less than two seconds behind Thomas's time. Matteo Rosio was fifth in 14:42.1.
On the women's side, three Bulldogs posted Top 10 finishes navigating the 5K course at Fairborn Community Park, just outside of Dayton. Kylie Cline was sixth in a time of 17:56.6, followed closely by teammates Mckenna Mazeski (seventh) and Elsa Rusthoven (tenth).

🔼 Block Party. Butler redshirt sophomore Luke Green was named the Pioneer Football League Special Teams Player of the Week on Sunday.
Green blocked two PATs in Butler's 37-27 victory against Truman State on Saturday. His second blocked kick came with Truman State threatening to tie the game 28-28. Instead, the blocked kick was recovered by defensive back Will Mason, who returned it 95 yards for a defensive two-point conversion, giving Butler a 30-27 lead.
