🔼 Walkin’ It Off. Former Butler standout Jack Moroknek capped off his first season in pro baseball in style this past weekend.

Playing with the High Class-A Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Washington Nationals organization, Moroknek hit a two-run walk-off HR to give his team a win in the season finale on Sunday afternoon.

Moroknek played with two different teams in 2026, finishing with 23 extra-base hits, including nine doubles, four triples and 10 HRs, while driving in 37 RBIs in 82 games between the two levels.

🔼 Roll Call. Illinois native Riley Gumm returned to her midwest roots this fall and is fitting in quite well with the Butler women’s soccer program.

This week, Gumm earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll with her game-winning goal against St. Thomas, which she lifted the ‘Dawgs to a 2-1 victory in the 86th minute.

Gumm has started and played over 65 minutes in every game so far this fall, tallying a goal and an assist from her midfield position.

🔼 Back At The Bowl. After taking on the defending national champs on the road this past weekend, Butler Football returns to the Sellick Bowl for its second home game of the 2026 season when Franklin visits for a non-conference showdown.

Back in Indianapolis, the ‘Dawgs welcome Franklin to a place where they are 19-6 since the start of the 2022 season.

QB Gabe Passini has led the Butler offensive attack so far, tossing for 285 yards and two TDs, while also piling up 198 yards on the ground for the ‘Dawgs.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday night.

🎉 JOIN THE PARTY!

The inaugural Butler All Access—a block party for all Bulldog fans—is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14 at the Sellick Bowl on the Butler campus.

The FREE event is slated for 5-7 p.m., welcoming members of the Butler and surrounding communities to campus to kick off Homecoming Week on campus.

Butler All Access is designed around interactive, team-hosted activities for fans of all ages. Bulldog student-athletes will be heavily involved in the activities.

🤔 BUTLER TRIVIA

Off to a 5-2 start to the 2026 season, the Butler Volleyball squad is back in action tomorrow night at Hinkle Fieldhouse when Bellarmine rolls into town for a non-conference matchup.

It’s been a total team effort this fall for the ‘Dawgs as they’ve spread the offensive attack around.
